Configure Mobile App Homepages
Set up what mobile users see when they open the Salesforce Mobile app: the homepage, the navigation menu and the quick actions they can reach on a phone.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Asks for a connection to the Salesforce org so it can run discovery and finalize a plan.
- Researches the documentation and explores the org. In one sample it found the apps and the Account page layouts, but stopped before writing a plan.
- Finds the root cause. In one sample, the "+" action button was missing on the Sales mobile app because the Seller-Focused Sales Mobile Experience feature replaces the standard action bar. MeshMesh then gave remediation options.
- Handles follow-up mobile setup, such as a Web Tab, the default mobile app setup and mobile action design.
- For a mobile demo, loads demo records and configures quick actions, compact layouts and a mobile navigation app. It then validates the setup end to end.
- Produces the supporting material. In the demo case this was a presentation deck and a Word document with presentation and demo scripts.
In the diagnosis sample the task is paused, and the evidence does not show every follow-up finished. The navigation work is covered in Configure Custom App Navigation Tabs. Quick actions are covered in Configure Quick Actions, and compact layouts in Configure Compact Layouts.
