Diagnose Missing Page Actions

Find out why a button, action or panel is missing or broken on a Salesforce page, and either fix the layout or record page or say clearly where the cause lies.

How MeshMesh does it

  1. Reviews the setup behind the missing action: page layouts, record pages, Activity Settings and record types.
  2. Checks for org features that replace standard actions. In one case the Seller-Focused Sales Mobile Experience was replacing the standard action bar on the Sales mobile app. MeshMesh then offered ways to fix it.
  3. Traces a custom quick action to the custom permission and permission set that grant it, then queries the records where the button shows.
  4. Inspects field metadata when a query fails. In one case a picklist stored internal IDs instead of labels.
  5. When the cause stays open, switches to a workaround if the user asks for one, such as creating records through the API.
