Integrate Hosted MCP Servers

Give an outside AI client, such as Claude, Snowflake Intelligence or Copilot Studio, access to Salesforce tools through a hosted MCP server. This means activating the server, setting up an External Client App with OAuth, and limiting which tools the client can call.

How MeshMesh does it

  1. Writes a phased plan for the client app, covering the mcp_api scope, OAuth policy settings and the matching setup on the client side.
  2. Enables PKCE and creates an External Client App with the OAuth scopes and callback URL the client needs.
  3. Sets the app policies, including IP relaxation.
  4. Where the client works through an Agentforce agent, sets up Agentforce Coworker with permission set changes, configures the app with the MCP and agent API scopes, and retrieves the credentials.
  5. Writes step-by-step documentation for the steps left to the admin.

The client app work continues in Configure External Client Apps.
