Integrate External Systems
Connect Salesforce to outside systems, such as a support tool, a hosted web app or another AI agent, through OAuth, credentials and hosting, so data and messages move both ways.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Sets up the Salesforce-side pieces an integration needs. External Credentials, Remote Site Settings and Auth Providers are among the features it uses most.
- Takes stock of the existing Connected Apps and permission sets before it connects anything. When the org blocks Connected App creation, it uses an External Client App instead.
- Configures the OAuth connection to the external system. When the connection fails, for example on a callback URL that points to the wrong place, it writes instructions for the user to fix the setting and retry.
- Corrects Named Credentials and sets client credentials on the External Credential for a commerce storefront, then documents the Embedded Service Deployment snippet in a summary.
- Deploys credentials and an MCP server definition through the Metadata API. When the server does not show up in the Agentforce Registry, it pauses for the user's decision on OAuth setup.
