Integrate Prompt Templates Into Flows
Get a flow that calls a prompt template or AI action, so meeting notes or records are summarized, text is translated, or a next step is chosen without manual work.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Builds and deploys the prompt template that does the AI work, or reuses one already in the org. In one case, it created a template with record inputs and tested it in Prompt Builder; in another, it built a Flex Prompt Template for meeting notes.
- Builds the flow that calls the template:
- a record-triggered flow with a prompt template action and an Update Records element, deployed as active,
- a Screen Flow launched from Event or Task records that calls the template through the generatePromptResponse action and creates follow-up Tasks, or
- a net-new flow that calls a journey decisioning template to choose the next conversation, deployed as Draft to a prototype org.
- Reworks the build when an approach fails. In one case, an Apex route through ConnectApi failed at runtime and the flow action replaced it. In another, metadata query and XML-ordering problems were worked around.
- Tests end to end, such as a record with Italian text translated to English automatically, or text-only, file-only and combined input.
- Hands back the remaining setup, such as adding quick actions to page layouts or activating a template version, and can explain the code it wrote for a developer.
