Configure Agent Access Permissions
Give the right users access to an agent so it shows up and works for them. Most often this means getting an agent to appear in the Agentforce panel by granting and assigning the permission set it needs.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Works out why an active agent is missing for the intended users. In one task only one of the active agents showed in the Agentforce dropdown, because the other had no agent access entry in any permission set.
- Creates and deploys a permission set that grants agent access, then assigns it to the user.
- Restores access when a permission set redeploy removes it, moving the agent access into a dedicated permission set.
- Checks that the agents now have access. In one task the user confirmed this. This step is not always reached: in one task the permission and flow-access phases were not completed before the session was interrupted.
After access is in place, the next step is usually to Test Agentforce Agents.
