Build Engagement Timeline Components
Users get a Lightning web component that shows a record's engagement history as a timeline on a record page, such as engagement events, campaign touches or ticketing history. The component is built, styled and deployed to the org.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Loads engagement data to show. It inserts demo engagement events or pushes custom events into Data 360 through the Ingestion API, using Apex and REST workarounds.
- Deploys an Apex controller with a test class.
- For components backed by Data 360, writes an Apex controller that queries Data 360 live through
ConnectApi.CdpQuery, so the timeline shows unified records from more than one source. - Builds and deploys the LWC bundle, styled to the customer's branding.
- Deploys supporting reports, dashboards and record pages, fixing metadata errors along the way.
- Places the component on the record page, as it did on an Account page. This step is often unfinished or left to a human.
