Build Account Hierarchy Components

Get a Lightning Web Component that shows an account's parent and child accounts as a color-coded hierarchy on the account record, backed by an Apex controller and the fields it needs.

Method

How MeshMesh does it

  1. Sets up demo data on an account, such as cases, claims and policies, for the component to show.
  2. Builds a dashboard component driven by an Apex controller. Chart.js shows up in some of the work.
  3. Adjusts the account hierarchy data and the hierarchy view.
  4. Works around wrong field names and CLI gaps, and creates and assigns a permission set when field-level security blocks the new fields.
