Audit Org Component Inventory
A user gets a list of what is deployed in an org: code components such as LWC and Apex classes, along with other metadata such as reports and dashboards. The list arrives as a report or document. Sometimes it is the starting point for planning how to rebuild components in another org.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Runs a read-only inventory of the org's customizations across its metadata types.
- Classifies the items into tiers, analyzes their dependencies and counts data records per object.
- Delivers the inventory as a report: an HTML report and an Excel workbook, or a Word document converted to PDF.
- Fills gaps the user points out. In one case reports and dashboards in other folders had been missed, so MeshMesh wrote a new script and produced a second PDF.
- Can follow up with read-only research on how portable the components are to another org, with rebuild sketches, before anything is built.
